Despite how round the Tempranillo grape is, it’s amazing how much it can suffer from being ‘double-edged’. It’s a grape capable of producing dump loads of cheap and cheerful red wines which, the DOC Rioja (as well as others in Spain) has been able to provide to the tunes of millions of liters.
