Bodega Cepa de Oro - Tradición Cinteña – Vischoqueña 2018

Very light, pomegranate color. Crisp, young red cherries and red plum. Underlying blue fruit and dried fig notes, canned fruit, crisp herb notes, cut sage, and a crunchy wet stone note. Crisp on the palate, not a great width to the body but still full enough, driving acidity but the alcohol definitely has a sensation as well as visual viscosity of being 1% higher than what’s the label. Seemingly chaptalized due to this candied fruit aspect but despite this, quite similar to a light Beaujolais.
