You Okay?

So, I’m back in the US America after traveling, The Europe for almost four months. I missed an entire season in my home country, which is the first time that I’ve done that. A friend said that she read on a “To do before you die” list or something like that, that every American should spend one 4th of July out of the country. I did do this and was in Sarajevo at the time. It was not a life changing experience.
Overall, I feel just as at home in Europe (especially Spain) as I do in the US these days. Even still, the number one question I have been getting is, “What are you missing now that you’re back?” To which I reply with three items: the metric system (including Centigrade), fully functional public transportation, and community. Other than that, it’s nice to be back here. It was a great trip, but was a tiring trip. Constantly moving for so long over nine countries takes a lot out of you. I have no idea how two nitwit friends did eight countries in two weeks. I suppose that they saw nothing and were 22, so it wasn’t so hard. I’m just glad I did this at 30, because I’m probably getting too old to cover so much ground. That and I really like coming back to my own bed and toilet. Especially the toilet :)
