Let’s see, if I work out the math correctly, I will be on the ground in Germany when the fateful time of the 1906 Earthquake hits. Then, for most of the day, I will be up in the air on a 12 hour flight or whatever it is from Munich back to San Francisco. Safe to say, I think I will be a bit earthquake proof for the duration.
I am thankful to be getting back home and a bit sad I won’t be in SF for what will most likely be an impressive party to remember, since you don’t get to celebrate 100 year anniversaries of devasting earthquakes all that much. So, here’s to you SF! You look great and smell fantastic (more in the Castro/Marina, less in Chinatown.) Thanks for harboring me and I promise to stay around for awhile before disappearing to Europe on you again.
