And the teas are in

Probably one of my more enjoyable hobby aspects to this site lies in the tea review section. Years ago, once I started trying and liking tea as my choice caffeine, I realized that a) I drank a lot of it and b) I drank many different types. Not one to just toss away lessons learned, I started up the section that you see there.

Unknown to me until just now, June is apparently the equivalent of October in the wine industry as this is when all the new harvests start hitting the tea blenders. I “realized” this after being contacted by a flurry of tea companies over the last week all asking if I wanted to have samples for review. Tea is something like 4,500 years old give or take a century so taking to the web has been a slow process. Whatever. I don’t care as now I’m suddenly getting all these new teas to try from companies I had never hear of before. The first box arrived from England today sent by the Canton Tea Co. It’s a Jasmine Green that I’ve already reviewed. Quite a nice cup of leaves if I don’t say so. You can read more about it on their site if interested.

However it plays out, over the next month, I should bump up my reviews section a great deal since it had been a tad neglected while in Côte d’Ivoire.
