Review: A nice, hearty Assam Black that lives up to its name. The leaves have a touch of sweetness to them before you steep it which is quite pleasant and a change from the standard heavy black aromas.
Steeped, it carries these aromas as well and once sipped, it gives a nice, round, wholesome body to enjoy. I like it a good deal, but must warn that it's a tad temperamental on steeping. Give it more than 3-4 minutes and it's going to get bitter, just like most high grade black teas do.
My only real points off for it are based on the finish, which starts to lose the great qualities of the body as you drink down. Also, as it cools, it loses its roundness as opposed to Ineeka Himalaan Black (which may be from the same fields as these are from the same parent company) that carries its tea-ful awesomeness all the way to the last drop.

Pairings: Breakfast type items like toast with jams or a croissant. Nothing too complex as the tea has a lot going on in it. Simple flavors of the morning are best.
