Tréleela Tea's
It brews up nice and full. The initial aromas aren't all the amazing, but the body makes up for it with earthy characteristics. It finished clean and doesn't leave any lingering unpleasant qualities in the mouth, which really strong Assams sometimes do.
Pairings: Jam and jellies on bread with cream or butter. A croissant would be nice as well. Anything you'd have for breakfast that's hot will pair well with it. It's not a tea for the later part of the day unless had just by itself.
Rating: 9 of 10
Assam Black
Review: A stout and very, very tasty Assam tea. It goes above and beyond a basic black Assam though, which I tend to find a bit acrid when not blended properly. From this tea, you get a wonderful malty quality that is warm and embracing, kicking out the chills of winter, or if properly chilled, making for a great ice tea in the summer. It brews up nice and full.
