Chrysanthemum Pu-erh
Company: Mighty LeafReview: I have had a tremendously difficult time in finding the right spot on my palate for the Pu-erh type of teas, so I generally just try to take them in comparison to one another. This one seems to be as good of an example as any other in regards to flavor characteristics. It's a bit grainy in texture for what I like and the Chrysanthemum gives it something of a mint tone that I'm not all too crazy about.
But, if it's thickened with enough milk and other additives, the regular drinker can get something okay out of this. For those who enough the Pu-erh, I'm sure the the twist of blooming flowers in it will be a nice change up from you're used to.
Pairings: Anything really sweet to take up the very grainy tones of the tea. Perhaps caramel or even mints.
