Info: Their farms as set on 15,000 acres of Biodynamic/Fair Trade farms in India. As far as they know, it's the largest biodynamic community in the world.
They are the only specialty tea company in the U.S. that owns its own farms. And they are home to over 25,000 individuals who all receive free and mandatory schooling for their children, higher than average wages, access to specialized medical facilities, free livestock, a free home and all utilities, among other benefits.
All of their teas are free of additional flavorings and oils--many other companies are prone to adding oils and "natural flavors" to many of their teas. They created their patented infuser to not only increase convenience (no tea balls or strainers to clean...and it's pre-measured), but to allow those uninitiated to a whole-leaf tea experience that doesn't necessitate the purchase of additional tea paraphernalia. Also of note is that their infuser allows the leaves to unfurl completely, which, is the most important aspect of steeping a whole-leaf tea.
